Love Beer. Love Life. Employee-Owned, brewed in Boston, MA and Windsor, VT.
Fantastic bar! There's plenty of seating and counter space for you to have a beer or wait till your brewery tour starts. I highly recommend getting one of their samplers, we got the IPA sampler and their pilot series sampler. Both were great, if you've had Harpoon before then you know it taste great. The pretzels they have are INCREDIBLE. You MUST order one. They are very thick and soft, plus the dips that come with them are incredible. We got the IPA cheese and that by itself tasted great. Highly recommend coming here, it's a great place to chill!
Awesome brewery, took the tour for $5 which included a very interesting tour about the history and everything you needed to know and brewing. The tour concluded with a 16 minute tasting of 12 different beers. The tap room has a huge selection of beers as well as delicious pretzels that can be ordered in many different forms with options ranging from savory to sweet. Everything tasted great and will definitely be returning. Lastly stopped at the gift shop to grab some glasses to add to my collection.
Hilarious brewery tour followed by an awesome bar area with pretzels and drinks. While the wait can be crazy if you don't plan ahead that doesn't change what was an awesome experience. The tour started with a lot of laughs and continued with a great setup for tasting where you get a short time with unlimited selection to try out the options. One of the best for setups I've seen.
This is one of my favorite places in Boston. They make delicious beers and are very kind. I accidentally broke a beer once because I was excited when I saw a bunny. They quickly cleaned it up and brought me a fresh beer. The tour is worth the $5. It’s really neat to learn everything and you get to sample all of the beers they have on tap. I highly recommend coming here if you have a few hours to kill.
I'd be here every day if I could. Best beer in the world, such a great atmosphere, and such amazing service! I love their Flannel Friday beer. One of the best ever. Nice and big souvenir shop as well! Easy to get to by bus, the bus stop is right outside.
Yes!! COME! You here about the pretzels all the time so just GO. I'm serious, stop now and go get a flight of the special beers and at least one pretzels...
IPA - American
We started brewing this beer as a summer seasonal in 1993. There were some great IPAs out in the Pacific Northwest, but no local IPAs on the east coast. We wanted to have a local IPA, so we brewed one. People absolutely loved it, and so did we. So we made it a year-round beer, and it’s now our bestselling beer and our flagship. Description: Since its introduction, Harpoon IPA has remained unique in its ability to balance hop bitterness with a strong malt backbone. Dry-hopped with Cascade hops, it has a floral hop aroma and a finish that is bitter (it is an IPA after all!) without being harsh or astringent. Combined with a malty sweetness and the fruity esters of our proprietary yeast, those hops create a beer that is wonderfully hoppy but clean and refreshing enough to enjoy a few of - and we hope you do.

Light, crisp, refreshing UFO White follows in the tradition of spiced wheat beers that have been brewed in Belgium for well over 300 years. Brewed with orange peel and coriander, UFO White is the perfect choice for a summer’s barbecue, a night out with friends or any time you're thirsting for something a little different. Like all UFO beers, we leave UFO White UnFiltered.
ABV: 4.8, IBU: 11
Harpoon Winter Warmer
Winter Warmer was Harpoon's first seasonal beer. It was designed to be enjoyed during the holiday season. Note the aroma of cinnamon. There is no aromatic hop added that might overpower the distinct spice scent. A smooth, medium bodied ale spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg.
ABV: 5.9, IBU: 23
Pale Ale - American
This mango-infused Pale Ale begins with a subtle tropical aroma of passion fruit and mango. Golden-copper in color, it has a light body, slight hop bitterness, and malty sweetness, and finishes with a kiss of mango.
ABV: 5, IBU: 22
Pumpkin / Yam Beer
It’s a simple story; we brew this beer because we like pumpkin (pumpkin pie, really) and thought an unfiltered pumpkin ale would be great, especially during the New England fall. Turns out it is. Imagine a pumpkin vine wound its way in a field of barley, and a brewer harvested it all to make a beer. Add Northwestern hops and a blend of spices, and you've got UFO Pumpkin. The malt combination provides a smooth body and slightly sweet flavor, which balances perfectly with the earthy notes derived from the pure pumpkin. And like all of our UFO beers, UFO Pumpkin is UnFiltered.
ABV: 5.9, IBU: 20
Harpoon Octoberfest is a malty tribute to fall, balanced by a gentle hop bitterness. In keeping with tradition, it is a Marzen-style beer, brewed with abundant quantities of Munich, Chocolate, and Pale malts. Those malts provide a solid, full body and create the beer’s deep color. It is a rich, flavorful beer.
ABV: 5.3, IBU: 30
Harpoon Summer Beer
A beer brewed to be enjoyed with summertime activities. It is light, refreshing, and crisp.
ABV: 4.8, IBU: 22
We have added natural raspberry flavor to our UFO Hefeweizen to create this beer. Consistent with the hefeweizen style, this beer is unfiltered and cloudy with a solid foamy head. UFO Raspberry has a distinctive, hazy rose color. The scent of fresh raspberries hits the nose immediately, along with a subtle bready aroma from the wheat and yeast. The body is light and the unfiltered yeast provides a soft mouthfeel. The taste of the fruit compliments the beer nicely, neither overwhelms the other. There is a faint sweetness on the palate, which finishes cleanly in a semi-dry, tart finish.
ABV: 4.8, IBU: 10
IPA - Imperial / Double
Harpoon Leviathan Imperial IPA will challenge your senses and your palate. As the vibrant aroma rushes out of your glass you will notice the blend of piney and tropical fruit notes. At first sip, this big beer starts with apowerful hop bitterness up front and an aggressive hop flavor and character throughout. Leviathan Imperial IPA is brewed with tons of pale malt and just enough caramel malt to provide a sweet malt body to balance the hop intensity. We used copious amounts of a variety of hops including Chinook, Centennial, Simcoe, and Amarillo at various points during the boil to create a complex hop flavor and clean lingering bitter finish. We then fermented the beer with Harpoon’s own versatile proprietary yeast. Finally, we dry hopped at a rate of over 1 lb a barrel to produce this beer’s massive aroma.
ABV: 10, IBU: 90
IPA - Session / India Session Ale
Harpoon Take 5 was first brewed on the Brewery’s 10-barrel system in early 2014. With each pilot batch the recipe was tweaked until the desired balance between hop aroma and malt character was achieved. This final version begins with a vibrant citrus and pine hop aroma from Simcoe and Amarillo hops and follows through with a sturdy malt profile from the combination of Pale, Vienna, Carapils, and English Amber malts. Hop forward but not too bitter, low ABV but with a significant malt body – a truly sessionable beer.
ABV: 4.3, IBU: 43
The Long Thaw White IPA
IPA - White
The Long Thaw White IPA style blends the spiciness of a Belgian Wit and the American hop character of an IPA.
ABV: 6.2, IBU: 45
The unfiltered yeast remains in suspension, giving this style its signature cloudy color and a soft mouthfeel. Unlike traditional Bavarian hefeweizens, however, UFO Hefeweizen uses a northern German ale yeast to produce it's signature "citrus-like" aroma.
ABV: 4.8, IBU: 18
Red Ale - American Amber / Red
This Hoppy Amber Ale is our tribute to the quintessential season of change. A bright hop aroma from late hop additions plays with its strong malt backbone. Amber hued, medium bodied, with hints of citrus and pine, this ale is made for the crisp days (and nights) of fall.
ABV: 5.7, IBU: 35
Harpoon Rich & Dan's Rye IPA
IPA - Rye
In 2011 Harpoon co-founders Rich Doyle and Dan Kenary brewed a Rye IPA as part of the brewery’s 100 Barrel Series. It quickly became a favorite at the brewery, so we decided to make it year-round. This beer is brewed with our proprietary yeast – the same yeast we’ve used since first brewing Harpoon Ale – and some interesting hop varieties. The combination of Pale, Rye, Caramel 60, Flaked Rye, and Vienna yield a complex malt body that stands up to the spiciness of the rye and the pronounced hop flavor. The rye also adds a reddish hue to the beer. The kettle additions of Centennial, Apollo, and Chinook, and the dry hop addition of Falconer’s Flight add a multidimensional hop character.
ABV: 6.9, IBU: 70
Inspired by the classic tale. Cinnamon, clove, and ginger combine with an unfiltered wheat beer in this deliciously spiced, gingerbread-inspired beer.
ABV: 5.2, IBU: 11
IPA - Imperial / Double
A Double IPA that's slightly sweet with a lingering bitterness.
ABV: 7.8, IBU: 58
Stout - American
Our head brewer at our Windsor brewery homebrewed a batch of chocolate stout for himself after trying the style at a beer dinner and loving it. After several Harpooners tried Scott’s batch, we knew that we needed to add this beer to our lineup. It was originally introduced as a limited edition extra in our winter mix pack back in 2008, but it was soon apparent that our drinkers wanted more of this beer (a beer made with chocolate…not too hard to understand!), so we brought it back in 6-packs in 2010. A chocolate stout is a beer with a noticeable dark chocolate flavor. This flavor is created from the use of darker, more aromatic malt that has been roasted or kilned until it acquires a chocolate color. Harpoon Chocolate Stout is brewed with an abundance of chocolate malt and a touch of chocolate.
ABV: 5.9, IBU: 35
Golden and refreshing, flavorful but smooth, with a crisp, dry finish. A balancing act of the finest ingredients for a refreshing new breed of craft beer.
ABV: 4.8, IBU: 26
Pale Ale - American
Hop forward without being bitter, this single hop Pale Ale showcases the piney, citrusy character of Centennial hops. Bright and golden, light and drinkable, the subtle malt flavor lets the hops shine.
ABV: 6.2, IBU: 38
Harpoon Boston Irish Stout
Stout - Irish Dry
This draft-only Irish stout was made with six different types of malt, including roasted and chocolate, with a small dose of Willamette hops.
ABV: 4.3, IBU: 30
Harpoon Craft Cider
Cider - Other
Harpoon Cider is crafted from only one ingredient: freshly pressed apples. We ferment it with our house yeast, yielding a clean but refreshing all natural cider. Harpoon Cider is also naturally gluten-free. Its gluten content has been independently measured at less than 20 parts per million, meeting the FDA's proposed threshold for gluten-free.

ABV: 4.9, IBU: 0
Lager - Dunkel Munich
ABV: 5.5, IBU: 35
Harpoon Celtic Red
Red Ale - Irish
Having brewed in South Boston since 1987, it was probably only a matter of time before we decided to commemorate St. Patrick’s Day (Evacuation Day - coincidentally a holiday - in Boston). It’s a beer that we thought would pair well with the late winter as well: malty enough to stand up to the cold but balanced enough to hint at Spring. Harpoon Celtic Ale features a deep ruby color, medium body, and a balanced malt bill created by Irish Ale malt and a touch of roasted barley. Rich in tradition and sessionable in character, Harpoon Celtic is the ideal Spring seasonal.
ABV: 5.4, IBU: 26
Natural huckleberry flavor is added to this hefeweizen to make it the perfect blend of sweet and refreshing for any and all summer fun. Pairs nicely while frolicking through the countryside. And what the heck does a huckleberry taste like? A blueberry. But better.
